Hello! My name is Olivia. I am 19 years old, and live in the US with my family. I've been living as a lolita for almost a year, being inspired to finally become one --after eons of adoring the style from afar-- by the lovely Princess Skye, who I look up to and admire as my "lolita alma-mater". (Thank you dear!)

I try to counteract the ugliness and mundane grimness of the world by focusing on the good parts of life. Sunshine, beautiful music, sweets, a cup of tea, the first snowfall, the first spring buds. I don't try to pretend ugliness doesn't exist, but I refuse to be ruled by it, and instead try to find the silver lining whenever I can. Living with elegance and beauty is one way I find this silver lining, and my favorite thing about being a lolita.

I prefer to call lolita style, "demoiselle" or "demi" in public to avoid any negative connotations the term "lolita" may imply. I gravitate towards sweet lolita and classic lolita although I enjoy all the beautiful styles of lolita out there. I don't own many lolita clothes yet; at this point most of my time, money and energy has gone into creating a lolita bedroom, which I think has turned out quite lovely, if I do say so myself. ^^ However, now that my interior decorating is relatively finished, I plan to begin adding some more frills and lace to my wardrobe. When not in lolita dress I enjoy wearing sweet, old fashioned clothes, mod style outfits, and hoodies and jeans, the latter two items being some of my favorite clothes in existance, despite their un-princessness.
